Cheelcare Names Director of U.S. Sales

Industry veteran Tom Roberts is the new Director of U.S. Sales for Cheelcare.

In a May 9 news announcement, the Richmond Hill, Ontario, manufacturer said Roberts — who has more than 20 years’ experience in the durable medical equipment and mobility sectors — “developed a nationwide sales network of dealers and independent manufacturer reps, resulting in multi-million-dollar sales volume and an industry-leading position in the market” as President of Assistive Technology Inc.

Roberts’ Cheelcare responsibilities will include developing strategies and sales programs for the manufacturer’s power-assist and mobility products in the United States.

Eugene Cherny, Cheelcare’s CEO, said in the announcement, “I’m pleased to share that Tom has joined our team and will lead our strategy for sales growth within the USA. As one of the world’s largest consumers of assistive technology, the USA is a critical market for Cheelcare. Tom’s breadth of experience and knowledge will help us position Cheelcare as an industry leader for assistive mobility devices.”

Roberts will operate out of his office in Naples, Fla.
