Candy Harrington’s latest guidebook focuses on wheelchair-accessible areas of California.
The new book, California National Park Road Trips for Wheelchair Users and Slow Walkers, offers information useful for planning a road trip, including detailed driving itineraries; descriptions and photos of accessible rooms at national park lodges; accessible campground information; lists of accessible trails, attractions and drives in or near national parks; and fly/drive suggestions with accessible rental vehicle resources.
“I’ve been road tripping through California for most of my life,” Harrington said in a June 20 news announcement. “I know where to get the best Half Dome views, how to snag a Muir Woods reservation, and what’s the best spot to stop along the Mendocino coast for a secluded picnic. And I’ve included those suggestions — along with access details — in this title.”
Harrington has long specialized in accessible travel and is the founding editor of Emerging Horizons. Get the new book on California or browse other travel titles at www.CARoadTrips.com.
