Complex Rehab Technology veteran Wayne Grau will start with NCART in August, according to a July 7 announcement.

Grau’s CRT résumé includes Pride Mobility, where he served as New England Area Senior Sales Manager before becoming Pride’s Director of Rehab Industry Affairs.

Grau also worked in sales and in supplier relations & government affairs for The MED Group. Most recently, he’s been MK Battery’s Director of Business Development.

“He comes to the Coalition with a long line of industry credentials and was highly recommended by key players in the business,” the announcement noted. “His legislative background is vital to this position, and his government affairs work over the past 10 to 15 years will continue to benefit NCART and the Complex Rehab Technology industry.”

Grau will replace Don Clayback, who is leaving NCART in September after 13 years in the Executive Director position.

“I am very excited about this next step in my career working at NCART on behalf of the CRT industry,“ Grau said in the announcement. “NCART and the CRT community are very grateful to Don Clayback, current Executive Director, for all his years of service. I look forward to building on our progress working with manufacturers, providers, and all stakeholders to continue to fight to represent their interests at both the federal and state level.”

NCART also announced a new slate of officers, who began serving July 1.

Greg Packer, President of U.S. Rehab, is the new President of NCART. Kevin Gearheart, Rehab Medical’s President, was elected NCART’s VP. Doug Westerdahl, the VP of Field Operations at Numotion, is NCART’s new Treasurer, and Mike Barner, Director at the University of Michigan Medicine’s Wheelchair Seating Service, was elected Secretary.

“Wayne will bring a vast knowledge base to NCART and will help move the organization ahead,” Packer said in the announcement. “We look forward to his leadership and contributions.”
