Rehab Medical’s latest acquisition has led to its expansion into Southern Georgia.
In a July 7 announcement, the Complex Rehab Technology provider said it had acquired Priority Medical, described as having “a history of prioritizing patient care in the Peach State, enabling users to regain their mobility freedom through individually configured mobility products and services.”
The announcement added that the acquisition fits nicely into Rehab Medical’s overall strategy, as the company has been providing services to clients in Northern and Central Georgia for the last decade, with “a strong presence in Atlanta and Augusta.” Rehab Medical had been expanding southward, “and this recent acquisition now allows the company to reach the full state.”
Three Priority Medical employees, including two Assistive Technology Professionals (ATPs), will transition over to Rehab Medical.
Kevin Gearheart, Rehab Medical’s President, said in the announcement, “This acquisition brings on immediate growth in Southern Georgia and specifically Savannah with a core group that really fits our culture. It also provides an opportunity to continue expanding organically in the near future to connect to our offices in Florida and have a more complete presence in the Southeast.”
Chief Strategy Officer Travis Bonnell noted, “Priority Medical is a perfect example of the quality acquisition targets that will benefit greatly from our technology-enabled platform. Technology enablement and focus on the customer has translated into a greater patient experience and industry-leading delivery times.”
