Pride Mobility Products has launched its “most portable Jazzy ever” — the Jazzy Carbon power wheelchair, designed to keep pace with active wheelchair riders.

Named for its lightweight carbon fiber frame, the new chair features a joystick with a built-in USB charger, removable to facilitate transport. The Carbon’s 24V 12AH lithium battery is airline compliant, and the compact base folds and unfolds easily. Freewheel levers can be used to disengage the brake so the Carbon can be pushed by a caregiver. Front suspension helps to provide a smooth ride for users.
Adam Fuller, Pride’s Director of R&D, said in a November announcement, “The ultralightweight, carbon fiber frame is specifically designed for traveling while also extremely durable, without the bulk.” The frame weighs 39 lbs., or 43.6 lbs. with battery.
Pride has positioned the Carbon as a portable, travel-ready retail mobility option for active consumers unable to operate a scooter.
Jeff Distasio, VP of Pride Sales, said in the announcement, “By expanding our retail lineup with more travel products, our providers can meet the needs of additional customers who want to travel, but require a power chair to do so. The Jazzy Carbon takes it one step further with fantastic selling features, like the standard lithium battery, storage, and a removable joystick.”
