Donna Bliss, Ph.D., RN, FGSA, FAAN, has been announced as the closing keynote speaker for the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel’s (NPIAP) annual conference in March. Bliss is a Professor and School of Nursing Research Chair, Adult & Gerontological Health Cooperative at the University of Minnesota’s School of Nursing. Her research has focused on assessing, preventing, and managing incontinence and incontinence-related skin injuries, according to the NPIAP news announcement. The NPIAP conference takes place in San Diego, March 17-18.

Cure SMA has released a “brief agenda” for its 2023 annual conference in Orlando, Fla.
The conference, which runs June 29 through July 2 at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, includes educational and social events for people with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) and their families. Separate activities and sessions are scheduled for infants, children, teens, and adults.
In a Jan. 30 news announcement, Cure SMA said, “We wanted to provide this schedule to the healthcare providers within the SMA community as an opportunity to share with your patients and encouraging them to attend this year’s conference.”
The families’ conference runs concurrently with the organization’s annual Research & Clinical Care Meeting, for researchers and healthcare providers. Registration for both events is now open.
