Save the date: The Permobil Foundation will be holding its 13th annual Charity Open golf tournament on Thurs., April 27, at Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, Tenn. The event includes breakfast, a shotgun start, lunch, a putting contest… and Mulligans! In addition to individual registrations, the Foundation is accepting sponsorships at various donation levels.

Invacare’s Respiratory Division Is Sold

Ventec Life Systems Inc. has acquired the assets of Invacare Corp.’s respiratory product line, after Invacare announced it would exit the respiratory market segment in November. In a Feb. 3 news announcement, React Health, which owns Ventec Life Systems, said, “Integration and transition of the Invacare products has begun.”

One Ramp at a Time

Wheelchair rider Haraldur Þorleifsson, founder of Ramp Up Iceland, is making Iceland more accessible by adding ramps — more than 450 in the last two years, with a thousand more planned in the next two years.
