Final Public Comment Tally Exceeds 2,100

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) received 2,128 comments during the public comment period for its seat elevation proposed decision. The proposed decision, released by CMS in mid February, recommended Medicare coverage of power seat elevation on Group 3 power wheelchairs, while also questioning whether Medicare should pay for seat elevation on Group 2 power chairs.


Miller’s Announces a Hire & a Re-Election

Miller’s has welcomed aboard Jenn Bishop, who has joined the provider’s Akron, Ohio, Rehab Documentation team. And in additional Miller’s news, congratulations to Miller’s VP of Rehab Adam Ensgtrom, MBA, ATP, who was re-elected to the board of directors for the Ohio Association of Medical Equipment Services (OAMES). Miller’s is an original member of OAMES, founded in 1981.


Cure CMD to Celebrate 15 Years

Cure CMD supports people living with congenital muscular dystrophies (CMD) while advancing research to develop treatments and advocating for awareness of CMD, which is considered an ultra-rare disease. CMD comprises subtypes of muscular dystrophy including Collagen 6, Dystroglycanopathy, LAMA2, LMNA, and Selenon, among others.
