ATG Acquires Associated Medical Specialties’ Rehab Segment

July 17, 2012 by Laurie Watanabe

ATG Rehab has acquired the complex rehab technology segment of Associated Medical Specialties, a supplier business based in Philadelphia.

A news announcement on the new business deal said ATG and Associated Medical “will co-market their respective services to customers, payors and medical facilities throughout the region. ATG will focus on complex rehab, and Associated will focus on durable medical equipment and all other non-rehab services it currently provides.”

ATG says it will process Associated Medical’s complex rehab orders in ATG’s Hatsfield, Pa., office. “The company’s ATPs and support team will ensure a smooth transition from current status to delivery,” the news announcement said. “ATG will contact clients, clinicians and the appropriate facilities regarding the status and process for each order.”

Neill Rowland, ATG’s mid-Atlantic director of sales & marketing, said of the transition, “ATG Rehab will work diligently to transition all current orders as efficiently as possible. ATG works with the same suppliers as Associated, so order placements and shipments will be seamless for our customers.”

ATG Rehab has more than 50 locations in 30 states.
