Bachenheimer to Open New Brown & Fortunato Office

April 2, 2018 by Laurie Watanabe

Cara C. Bachenheimer has announced she’ll be opening a new Washington, D.C., office of Brown & Fortunato, P.C., in June.

Bachenheimer is known for her long-time policy and advocacy work on behalf of the home medical equipment and complex rehab technology industries. She has been senior VP of government relations for Invacare Corp. for more than 14 years.

In a news announcement, Bachenheimer said Invacare would be her first client once she launches her Washington, D.C., office.

“I appreciate Invacare’s continued support as I step away to help other businesses understand the impact of and help shape future health care legislation and regulations,” she said. “I am pleased to continue to support Invacare’s government relations and lobbying efforts as a consultant for the company.”

Jeff Baird, chair of Brown & Fortunato’s National Health Care Group said of Bachenheimer’s impending arrival, “We are excited that Cara is joining our firm. Cara’s expertise, coupled with our core practice areas, creates an exciting synergy.” In her new affiliation, Cara will be expanding her services in government relations, legislative and regulatory matters.”

The Brown & Fortunato law firm is based in Amarillo, Texas, and is well known for its work in the home medical equipment industry.
