In the just-published July issue of Mobility Management magazine, two Best Picks winners were inadvertently left out of the story.
Ki Mobility’s Focus CR (for “Complex Rotation”) manual wheelchair features a tilt system that uses “two control paths with two different centers of rotation to minimize the problems that result from the inevitable misalignment between the center of gravity of the system and a single rotation point,” according to Kimobility.com. The Focus CR is available in seat widths and depths from 14 to 22 inches, with a 300-lb. weight capacity. The wheelchair has earned WC19 approval.
Permobil’s new F3 Corpus front-wheel-drive power chair has a compact footprint, but features 12-inch seat elevation as well as anterior and posterior tilt – with options of 5, 10, 20 or 30 degrees of anterior tilt while 50 degrees of posterior tilt is preserved. The F3 Corpus system can also offer users 180 degrees of power recline and 85 to 170 degrees in its elevating legrests. The F3 has a maximum user weight of 300 lbs., and seat-to-floor heights starting at 17.5 inches.
