BraunAbility Names New CEO

November 16, 2017 by Laurie Watanabe

BraunAbility has named a new president/CEO, following the retirement of industry veteran Nick Gutwein.

Staci Kroon takes over for Gutwein on Nov. 27, according to a BraunAbility news announcement. BraunAbility referenced Kroon’s “extensive and successful career with the Eaton Corp., a $20 billion global technology leader in power management solutions.” Kroon most recently was executive VP of Eaton Business Systems, and previously was president of Eaton’s Automotive North America business.

Gutwein, who has been BraunAbility’s CEO since 2008, praised Kroon’s background and abilities.

“Ralph Braun founded our company 45 years ago,” Gutwein said, “with a passion to share the same mobility solutions he developed for himself with other wheelchair users to improve their quality of life. Our team has been dedicated to carrying on his legacy ever since, leading the mobility industry with innovative products and world-class quality.

“I am confident we have chosen the right successor in Staci to continue our mission of ‘Making Life a Moving Experience’ for those with mobility challenges.”
