Consumers who need wheelchair-accessible automotive vehicles might now be able to start the purchasing process at the same place they purchase groceries and household supplies in bulk.
Costco and BraunAbility have announced a partnership in the western United States to offer pre-determined pricing on a range of new and used accessible vehicles, including the Ford Explorer MVX SUV, the Chrysler Town & Country minivan, the Dodge Caravan minivan, the Honda Odyssey minivan and the Toyota Sienna minivan.
The program will run in Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington.
Consumers who take part in the Costco Auto Program will purchase the accessible vehicles through BraunAbility dealers and will receive 15 percent off adaptive mobility equipment and installation, mobility component repairs, parts and service. Costco members participating in the program will also receive a $500 Costco gift card.
Greg Kiser, BraunAbility’s VP of consumer sales, said in a news announcement of the partnership, “When two leaders in their respective industries come together, you are destined to create something truly remarkable. When you couple this partnership with our skilled dealer network, Costco members are the true winners in this partnership.”
