AAHomecare Moving to New Headquarters in February
The American Association for Homecare (AAHomecare) will be moving to a new office and will have a new address starting Feb. 3: 2611 S. Clark St., Suite 600, Arlington, VA 22022.
“The move downsizes our already-small office footprint, as the AAHomecare staff embraces the remote work environment — and reduces our office rental costs by 80%, allowing us to deploy more resources to HME policy priorities,” the organization said in a Jan. 22 bulletin. “The new location should also allow us to hold more of our council meetings on site, thanks to a larger conference room at the new location, adding even more savings to the equation.”
The new headquarters is less than a mile south of its current location, AAHomecare added.
Nira Medical Partners with Century Health to Process MS Patient Data
Nira Medical, a Boston-based national provider of neurological care, has announced a partnership with Century Health, described as “a pioneer in applying AI [artificial intelligence] to real-world data to accelerate research.” The companies’ goal: to better prepare Nira Medical’s data from patients with multiple sclerosis.
New York-based Century Health will “curate data from more than 3,000 patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) to advance the understanding of the disease and treatment outcomes,” the company said in a Jan. 14 press release. “Based on data from Nira Medical’s network of clinics, Century Health’s AI platform will create structured datasets that will be analyzed in partnership with life sciences companies to accelerate research into MS treatment and improve patient outcomes.”
“While electronic health records hold immense potential for accelerating research and improving patient care, much of their data remains inaccessible and difficult to analyze,” the announcement explained. “An estimated 80% of data is unstructured, often locked away in siloed systems. With access to rich information about patient care that structured data often misses, researchers can answer more detailed and complex questions to generate new insights on care and treatment.”
The announcement added that Century Health uses HIPAA-compliant processes to protect patient privacy.
