Cindi Petito Joins National Aging in Place Council
Cindi Petito, OTR/L, MBA, ATP, CAPS, CEAC, is the newest member of the board of directors for the National Aging in Place Council (NAIPC).
“I look forward to working with this exceptional team to enhance our outreach and impact, ensuring that more individuals have access to the support necessary for successful aging in their homes and communities,” Petito said in a July 6 social media post.
Petito is the director of VGM & Associates’ Live at Home division, whose members are providers who focus on accessible home modifications and independent living solutions. The NAIPC describes itself as “a trusted network that connects older adults, their loved ones, and caregivers with local professionals who provide the services and support needed to thrive at home.”
Abilities International Accessibility Conference Launches Event Website
The newly announced Abilities International Accessibility Conference, operated by the team behind the Abilities Expo consumer show series, has launched a website for its 2026 professional conferences.
The Abilities International Accessibility Conference will co-locate with the first three 2026 Abilities Expos, to take place in southern California, New Jersey/New York, and Chicago. The two-day conferences are designed for seating and wheeled mobility clinicians, providers, manufacturers, distributors, and policy/funding specialists, and will offer at least 10 hours of continuing education units per conference.
The professional conferences will run on Thursdays and Fridays, with the corresponding Abilities Expos open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Partners for the professional conferences include the Clinician Task Force, the International Registry of Rehabilitation Technology Suppliers (iNRRTS), the International Seating Symposium, the National Coalition for Assistive & Rehab Technology (NCART), the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA), and U.S. Rehab.
The Abilities International Accessibility Conference website currently includes a section for professionals to register their interest in the upcoming conferences.
