NBC Announces Record Coverage of Paris Paralympic Games
NBCUniversal will provide record-breaking coverage of the Paris Paralympic Games, Aug. 28-Sept. 8, according to the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).
The IPC said the upcoming coverage, “the most comprehensive” in U.S. media history, will include more than 140 hours of television broadcast on NBC, USA Network, CNBC, and Peacock, NBC’s streaming service.
NBC will feature nine hours of coverage daily, “with six of those hours in primetime,” the IPC said.
The IPC expects 4,400 athletes from around the world to compete in 22 sports.
“As support for the Paralympics continues to soar, we are growing our coverage to match the American viewer’s interest and passion,” said Molly Solomon, executive producer and president of NBC Olympics Production. “We’ll have more commentators on the ground, more cameras at the venues, and more hours to watch than ever before. Our expansive coverage is dedicated to giving the Paralympics its much-deserved spotlight in Paris, particularly as they get ready to come to the United States to Los Angeles in 2028.”
