NCART, U.S. Rehab to Present Strategies for Growth Webinar

The National Coalition for Assistive & Rehab Technology (NCART) and U.S. Rehab are cohosting a March 6 webinar entitled Future-Proofing Complex Rehab Technology: Strategies for Growth and Protection in 2025.

The webinar’s speakers are Wayne Grau, executive director, NCART; Julie Piriano, PT, ATP/SMS, senior director of payer relations and regulatory affairs, NCART; Tyler Mahncke, senior vice president, clinical mobility and accessibility, VGM & Associates; and Ted Metcalf, regional account manager, VGM & Associates.

The event, which begins at 11 a.m. Eastern, is free to attend for all Complex Rehab Technology industry professionals.


Abilities in Motion Appoints EVP of Growth and Strategic Initiatives

Abilities in Motion (AIM), a nonprofit organization focusing on cross-disability advocacy and community-based services, has hired Stephen Swanick as its new executive vice president of growth and strategic initiatives.

Swanick will be tasked with developing and implementing ethical business strategies, strengthening funding partnerships, and creating new collaborations. “His efforts will focus on securing opportunities through grants, pilot programs, service contracts and additional offerings,” the Feb. 11 announcement said.

“We’re delighted to welcome Stephen to our team as he brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in driving growth and building impactful partnerships,” said AIM President/CEO Stephanie Quigley. “His expertise in strategic planning, business development and fostering relationships with industry leaders will be instrumental as we expand our services and introduce innovative initiatives to support our mission.”

AIM is based in Reading, Pennsylvania.

“I am honored to join Abilities in Motion and contribute to their mission of empowering individuals of any ability to live life on their terms,” Swanick said. “The team’s accomplishments, including the establishment of Rollie’s Place café and the AIM Gaming Center, are inspiring. I look forward to collaborating with business leaders throughout the region to further elevate the incredible work of this amazing team.”
