Registration Now Open for September D.C. Fly-In
Registration is now open for the Sept. 16-17 legislative fly-in hosted by the National Coalition for Assistive & Rehab Technology (NCART), the International Registry for Rehab Technology Suppliers (iNRRTS), and U.S. Rehab.
NCART announced the opening of registration in a July 28 email.
The in-person event gives Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) stakeholders the opportunity to speak directly with members of Congress and their staffs about policy and funding issues that impact CRT provision and therefore, functional outcomes for children and adults with mobility -related disabilities.
The organizations are seeking sponsorships to “help us deliver our message to the right people,” iNRRTS said on its web page about the fly-in.
CRT Awareness Week Set to Begin Aug. 18
Complex Rehab Technology’s (CRT) annual awareness week starts Aug. 18, said the National Coalition for Assistive & Rehab Technology (NCART) in its July newsletter, released July 18.
“NCART and our partners are sending out more details in the next few weeks,” the announcement said. “We need to have everyone — consumers, manufacturers, suppliers, caregivers, clinicians, and advocacy groups — participate and get the word out about CRT and the importance for regulators and insurance companies to understand how crucial access to proper equipment and services is for consumers who utilize CRT.”
In past years, awareness week activities have included educational videos and social media posts from stakeholders explaining the impact of CRT. Stakeholders have also used those messages to describe the various roles they play in the CRT continuum of care.
