RESNA to Hold Free ATP Certification Program on Oct. 31

The Rehabilitation Engineering & Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA) is holding a free ATP Eligibility Pop-Up webinar for industry professionals interested in learning more about becoming Assistive Technology Professionals (ATPs).

The hour-long event — starting at 12 noon Eastern on Oct. 31 — will occur via Zoom. Topics to be covered include ATP eligibility requirements, assistive technology direct service work experience definitions, college degrees that qualify in the rehab science category, and a timeline for accruing the required work experience.

The course is free for RESNA members and non-members, but registration is required.

HME Woman of the Year Winner Will Be Announced at VGM Heartland

The 2025 winner of the HME Woman of the Year award will be announced at the VGM Heartland Conference in Waterloo, Iowa, June 9-11.

“The HME Woman of the Year Award honors the incredible dedication and impact women have on this industry,” said VGM Group CEO Jeremy Stolz in an Oct. 17 announcement. “And Heartland is the perfect occasion to honor their achievements and contributions. I cannot wait to shine a light on these deserving leaders, and to celebrate them along with their peers from across the industry and the country.”

The call for nominations will open in the spring of 2025, VGM added.
