Permobil Debuts ‘Solutions for Every Body’ Microsite

This portion of Permobil’s website focuses on the ROHO and Comfort Company brands of wheelchair seat cushions and backrests. The microsite also provides education on cushion media (foam, air, hybrid designs) and cushion comparisons, plus back support information and product comparisons. The “Individual Thumbprint” section explains how to select seating products by prioritizing a particular wheelchair rider’s needs, such as stability, pain/comfort, durability, positioning, skin protection, and transfer support.

Ki Mobility to Stop Providing Permobil Seating Brands

Ki Mobility will no longer provide ROHO- or Comfort Company-brand seating products, the company said in an Aug. 12 announcement signed by Doug Munsey, president of Etac North America, Mobility.

“Our dedicated customer service team will proactively reach out to assist with any open orders affected by this change, helping you seamlessly transition and convert to alternative solutions,” the announcement from Munsey said. “We will continue to support any orders or quotes that can be fulfilled from our existing inventory.”

Permobil owns the ROHO and Comfort Company brands. Natural-Fit handrims will also no longer be available through Ki Mobility.
