Bruno Wins VA Vehicle Lift Contract

October 1, 2006 by Mobility Management

Bruno Independent Living Aids has been awarded a five-year contract to provide scooter and wheelchair vehicle lifts to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The contract started late last month.

Bruno products included in the contract are manually operated wheelchair carriers for manual chairs, power-operated wheelchair carriers for manual chairs, interior power-operated scooter lifts, interior power-operated lifts for power chairs, and trunk lifts for manual chairs. Bruno will tap members of its nationwide dealer network to handle VA purchases.

Bruno’s VP of Operations, Tom Jacobson, said the contract “confirms our ongoing and significant investments in product development, capital equipment and employee training and education.” In addition to a range of scooter and wheelchair lifts, Bruno also offers stairlifts and automotive access product lines that include the Turning Automotive Seating systems, which rotate, lower and lift drivers or passengers in and out of automotive vehicles to facilitate transfers. The manufacturer is based in Oconomowoc, Wisc.
