Having been acquired in March by BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, CIGNA Government Services, the Jurisdiction C DME MAC, has changed its name to CGS LLC.
The name change went into effect June 1.
While the May 26 announcement of the name change assured stakeholders that “very little will change as a result of the acquisition,” CGS LLC also said its Web site address has changed to cgsmedicare.com.
“You will still get the same great service you’ve come to expect from CGS,” the announcement said. “You will still submit your claims to CGS exactly as you do today. You will still use the same telephone numbers to speak to those same knowledgeable customer service representatives that you’ve come to depend on for the latest Medicare information.”
The Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system for automated services will also continue to operate in the same way.
