CIGNA Government Services (CGS), the Jurisdiction C DME MAC, stopped accepting partial fax transmissions as of Nov. 16.
CIGNA therefore is asking its DME suppliers who rely on fax transmissions to provide documentation or otherwise communicate with CIGNA to “pay close attention to (your) fax journals to ensure CGS has received all pages of your transmission. Your journals will also notify you if the transmission was accepted.”
CIGNA is now using the RightFax system to process incoming faxes and will no longer hold onto or begin processing partial or incomplete faxes.
