January 17, 2008 by Mobility Management

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will offer four educational audio conferences on HME supplier accreditation, with the first seminar scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 22, starting at 1 p.m. Eastern time.

Participants must pre-register for the seminar by going to www2.eventsvc.com/palmettogba/012208 and filling out the registration form to reserve a phone line for the teleconference. Participants can also download the call presentation by going to www.cms.hhs.gov/MedicareProviderSupEnroll/ before the start of the conference.

Registration for the first seminar closes at 1 p.m. Eastern time, Jan. 21, or when all available telephone conference lines have been reserved. A recording of the call will be made available after the live seminar has concluded. This replay will be accessible from 3:30 p.m. Eastern time on Jan. 22 until 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on Jan. 29. To access the replay, dial (800) 642-1687 and use passcode 25607950.

In describing the seminars, the CMS news statement said, “We will be discussing compliance with the DMEPOS Quality Standards and the accreditation process, and will provide ample time to answer questions from the supplier audience.”
