Comfort Company Names Clinical Education Director

May 2, 2011 by Laurie Watanabe

Jean Sayre, OTS, ATP, is the new director of clinical education for The Comfort Company (comfortcompany.com).

Sayre has been in the DME industry for more than 23 years, and in the seating & mobility realm for the past dozen years. A news announcement about her appointment said, “Her educational training, experience in the field of seating & mobility products, and her passion for providing her clients with the greatest possible functional independence have given her the knowledge to provide detailed educational advice to be utilized by other medical professionals.”

Sayre’s responsibilities include developing and growing The Comfort Company’s educational department, which offers CEU courses and training.

Said Evans Innes, VP of sales: “The addition of Ms. Sayre to our company fills a position that we have needed for quite some time. We feel that she is a very respected and knowledgeable figure within the industry, and we feel privileged to have her on board.

The Comfort Company designs, manufactures and distributes seating & positioning products for complex rehab technology clients of all ages. The company launched its new Embrace Seating System, created especially for kids and young adults, earlier this week. Engineer David Cramer said of the Embrace, “In today’s market, providers are forced to choose between custom or off-the-shelf products. Our goal with the Embrace Seating line is to merge the two into one off-the-shelf product that has so much adjustability that custom modifications are in the hands of the seating professional.”
