CRT Awareness Week Scheduled for Aug. 18
Each day will highlight a different group of Complex Rehab Technology stakeholders.

August 6, 2025 by Laurie Watanabe

Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) Awareness Week — a time when stakeholders share their experiences with seating and wheeled mobility interventions — has been set for the week of Aug. 18.

“We need to have everyone — consumers, manufacturers, suppliers, caregivers, clinicians and advocacy groups — participate and get the word out about CRT and the importance for regulators and insurance companies to understand how crucial access to proper equipment and services is for consumers who utilize CRT,” the National Coalition for Assistive & Rehab Technology (NCART) said in an Aug. 5 bulletin.

This year’s awareness week is themed “Superheroes of CRT, ” with each weekday devoted to a specific stakeholder group. Monday, Aug. 18, is CRT Consumer Day. Tuesday, Aug. 19, is CRT Advocacy Day. Wednesday, Aug. 20, is CRT Clinician Day. Thursday, Aug. 21, is CRT Provider Day. Awareness week wraps up on Friday, Aug. 22, with CRT Manufacturer Day.

NCART asked stakeholders to use the hashtag #CRTAwareness to identify awareness week posts, and added that additional information from the organization and its partners will be coming as awareness week approaches.
