Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) veteran Matt Filippis has become VGM & Associates’ new director of business development for clinical mobility and accessibility.

Filippis, whose previous positions have included tenures at Wright & Filippis, National Seating & Mobility, and AdaptHealth, “will focus on executing the business development strategy to drive growth and profitability for the clinical mobility and accessibility membership channels, including U.S. Rehab, VGM Live at Home, and OPGA [Orthotic Prosthetic Group of America],” the organization said in an April 1 announcement.

Most recently, Filippis served as senior director, regional operations, for AdaptHealth, after being the company’s director of rehab operations.

He now “will collaborate closely with members and vendor partners to identify and pursue new business opportunities, manage and grow existing key accounts, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of the respective membership specialties in Complex Rehab, home accessibility, and orthotics and prosthetics,” the announcement said. Filippis has worked in the durable medical equipment, orthotics, prosthetics and supplies (DMEPOS) industry for more than 25 years.

“Matt has been a trusted leader in the DMEPOS industry for years as a champion of national advocacy and dedication to improving patient access and outcomes,” Ted Metcalf, VGM’s vice president of clinical mobility and accessibility, said. “His industry knowledge and experience make him the ideal fit for this leadership role.”

“I’m honored to take on this new role and continue supporting the dedicated providers who make such an impact on the lives of their patients,” Filippis said. “I look forward to supporting providers’ growth, innovation, and long‑term success.”
