The da Vinci Awards program is seeking nominations of “people, products and services that bring life-improving technology to the world.”
Honors will be bestowed in the following categories: Communication/Educational Aids; Environmental Adaptation/Daily Living or Work Aids; Prosthetics/Orthotics/Controls;
Recreation & Leisure; Transportation & Mobility; and the Student of da Vinci Award.
Past product winners include the MV-1 accessible vehicle; the Tongue Drive System; Sunrise Medical’s Pushrim Activated Power Assisted Wheelchair (PAPAW); Ossur’s Proprio Foot; Bruno Independent Living Aids’ Lift-Up Power Mobility Seat; and Otto Bock’s C-Leg.
Special award winners have included Dr. Rory Cooper, Tony Filippis Sr., Dr. Paul Pasquina and Stevie Wonder.

Proceeds from the da Vinci Awards, to be handed out in April in Dearborn, Mich., benefit the Michigan chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
