JAY Fusion with Air Insert
This adjustable cushion is designed for skin protection: It offers a ROHO Dry Floatation Insert (or a JAY Flow Fluid insert) to adjust to the consumer's sitting position and guard against skin breakdown. The Fusion starts with a contoured closed-cell foam base that's easy to modify at the factory or while the seating professional is in the field. The Fusion's inner cover is water resistant, has an Aqua-guard zipper and anti-wicking thread to protect the foam base from fluids, and is easy to wipe clean. The stretch outer cover reduces surface tension and is anti-microbial and machine washable.
An ATP & Clinician Best Pick of 2014:
I have found this to be one of the most common choices for my clients with nearly all diagnoses. People with or without sensation benefit greatly. It has excellent pressure reduction and distribution properties, can be somewhat custom configured, and is (yes, I am going to use this word) "really comfortable" according to the majority of patients who try it. My clients with poor trunk control find it to be much more stable when using the air insert rather than fluid, which I find is an interesting outcome.
