Disabled World Site Offers New Community Page

September 1, 2008 by Mobility Management

Consumers with disabilities and medical conditions of all kinds can find camaraderie and support on Disabled World’s new community Web page.

From the community page, visitors can chat with other visitors, start or respond to blogs, upload photos, form support groups, leave messages for friends and play games. The new page is part of the Disabled World Web site, which offers information on a number of medical conditions ranging from cerebral palsy and ALS to obsessive-compulsive disorder and diabetes.

The site also offers resources and links on related topics, such as employment opportunities, nutrition and travel. Many of the articles are written by consumers about their personal experiences, which leads to a diverse array of topics…such as advice on how a manual or power chair user should prepare for a pilgrimage to Mecca.

To access the community page, go to www.disabled-world.com and click on the community page icon in the upper right corner.
