DMERT Group Names New Executive Board Chair

June 7, 2022 by Laurie Watanabe

The Durable Medical Equipment Repair and Training (DMERT) Group has a new Chair of its Executive Board.

In a June 9 announcement, the organization said industry veteran Wayne Grau has accepted the position. Grau takes over for Greg Packer, who is President of U.S. Rehab.

“I am very happy to be working with a great group of rehab professionals that serve on the DMERT board,” Grau said in the announcement. “The hallmark of the Complex Rehab industry has been the professionalism of our ATPs and the service that trained rehab service technicians have offered our patients.

“I hope to continue the great work that Greg Packer from U.S. Rehab created when he envisioned the DMERT Group. I look forward to working with the entire industry as we continue to strengthen the Complex Rehab industry into the future.”

Grau joined the industry in 1991, when he started with Pride Mobility Products. He worked in various sales positions and was eventually promoted to Director of Rehab Industry Affairs, a position that saw him coordinating Pride’s “efforts to support rehab providers in regard to legislation and regulatory issues.”

In 2007, Grau joined Managed Care Associates, where he served as VP of Legislative Affairs, as well as Business Development and Supplier Relations.

Last December, Grau joined MK Battery and now “works with the MK sales team to help better serve their customers and help with growing sales revenue.”
