Drive DeVilbiss Acquires Sidhil Group

Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare has acquired Sidhil Group Limited.

The January 6 news announcement from Drive DeVilbiss described Sidhil Group as the leading manufacturer of hospital and home healthcare beds in the United Kingdom.

The company is currently located in a 105,000 square-foot facility in Halifax, West Yorkshire, and has been in business for more than 130 years. Sidhil Group also produces pressure prevention products and aids to daily living.

“Sidhil enjoys a long history of manufacturing excellence, and this acquisition will expand Drive’s existing manufacturing capabilities in the U.K. while adding significant manufacturing expertise to our European platform,” said Harvey P. Diamond, CEO of Drive DeVilbiss. “The team at Sidhil has demonstrated a true commitment to quality and performance in every product they make, and we look forward to having this well-known and well-respected brand as part of the Drive family of companies.”

Richard McGleenan, managing director of Drive DeVilbiss, added in the announcement, “With global distribution and over 130 years of healthcare manufacturing experience in the U.K., this acquisition will expand our presence in the growing hospital, long-term care and homecare markets, while expanding our manufacturing footprint. We look forward to working with Sidhil’s management team in expanding our business in this specialized area.”
