Freedom Concepts, manufacturer of therapy bicycles and other mobility equipment for children with disabilities, is commemorating 15 years in business in February.
The celebration for the Winnipeg, Manitoba-based company culminates on Feb. 26, when the staff will host facility tours and show off its 2006 product line during an anniversary reception. The reception will give visitors the opportunity to take a first-hand look at Freedom Concepts’ new production facility. “Our new location in Winnipeg allows us to pursue our new business plan in step with the growing demand for our products all over the world,” said company founder Ken Vanstraelen. “We want to acknowledge and thank the many people who have played a huge role in helping this company achieve the success it has.”
In addition to its colorful therapy bicycles — which include rear-steering configurations, so parents or caregivers can help keep kids on track — Freedom Concepts offers such kid-centered mobility products as the Freedom Climber and the Pommel Walker.
