Jim Greatorex, a veteran of the home medical equipment (HME) and accessibility industries who has been vice president of VGM & Associates’ Live at Home business since 2015, has announced his retirement.

In a Jan. 30 announcement, VGM noted that Greatorex has more than 30 years of experience in HME and accessibility.

“He has been an integral part of VGM Live at Home as vice president, contributing significantly to the growth and success of the home access industry,” the announcement said. “His commitment to serving the various needs of home access providers in the community was reflected through the many projects, services, and tools he spearheaded during his tenure at VGM Live at Home.”

“Jim’s many years of dedicated service to the HME, Complex Rehab Technology (CRT), and home access communities have been truly remarkable, from his successful years running his own business in Maine to the impactful years at VGM growing our home access division,” said Tyler Mahncke, SVP, clinical mobility and accessibility. “We deeply appreciate the dedication and passion he has brought to the industry and look forward to continuing to work with him into 2025. Our goal is to ensure a smooth transition so Jim can enjoy more time with his family.”

VGM also announced that Director of Clinical Network Cindi Petito, OTR/L, MBA, ATP, CAPS, CEAC, would become the director of VGM Live at Home as part of the transition process.

“Petito has more than 29 years of experience in multiple health-care settings as an OTR/L, including Complex Rehab Technology as an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP), as well as being a certified home accessibility specialist and key opinion leader in home modification and accessibility,” the announcement said. “She also has more than 20 years of working with both Medicare and Medicaid, commercial insurance companies, and workers comp programs.”

Petito will be supported by Drew Aalderks, member account manager; Jeff Kessler, partner account manager; and Mahncke, the announcement added. Greatorex will continue to work with VGM Live at Home “to help provide a seamless transition for Petito and the rest of team. Greatorex will also be involved in the planning for the VGM Live at Home Building Opportunities Summit in 2025.”

“It’s been an honor to work for VGM the last nine and a half years and participate in the home access industry,” Greatorex said. “Working with our passionate Live at Home members and vendor partners has been a blast, and lifelong friendships have been made. I will work with Cindi Petito and the Live at Home team as long as it takes to make sure a smooth, successful transition happens.

“The home access industry has a very bright future with a decade or more of steady growth, and Cindi and the VGM Live at Home team is ready to continue to help the industry evolve, grow, and professionalize to meet its great potential. I look forward to watching it all happen. My wife Lisa and I have enjoyed the last eight years living in Iowa and all the relationships made in and out of workspace, but it’s time to get back east and be near our family.”

VGM & Associates will be in booth 701 at Medtrade this month.
