Invacare Supports 2020 Toys for Tots Campaign

October 29, 2020 by Laurie Watanabe

Invacare Corp. is supporting the 2020 Toys for Tots campaign in honor of its popular Solara 3G tilt-in-space wheelchair.

In a news announcement, Michael Salvi, Invacare’s Director of Manual Mobility and Seating, explained how the Solara became the center of Invacare’s toy donation plans.

“We’re honored to continue to find ways to support our community this holiday season,” Salvi said. “Our legacy product, the tried-and-true Invacare Solara 3G Manual Wheelchair, is often called the ‘tank’ for its durability. That’s why we’re going to be giving a toy for every Solara we sell in November to Toys for Tots.”

The Solara 3G is fully adjustable, with an easy-to-tilt motion to make the repositioning process more convenient for caregivers. Features include tilt-assist readjustment, a growable seat pan, low shear recline to minimize shearing forces, and a foot-operated wheel lock that locks both rear wheels. The Solara 3G has a 300-lb. standard weight capacity.

Toys for Tots, which is run by the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, collects and distributes new toys to underprivileged children during the winter holiday season.
