Yes, Thanksgiving is still a week away, but it’s not too early to start making 2013 travel plans and specifically, to schedule a trip to Music City in the spring.
The International Seating Symposium, with course director Mark Schmeler, Ph.D., OTR/L, ATP, will be hosted by the University of Pittsburgh in March. From March 5 through March 9, seating & mobility clinicians and providers will gather at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tenn., to network, learn and test out the newest assistive technology for clients with complex positioning and mobility needs.
The 2013 agenda includes an extra exhibit hall day – March 6 – for attendees and consumers. Pre-symposium workshops take place Tuesday and Wednesday, March 5-6, with the event officially kicking off on March 7 with the keynote address by Paul Tobin, president/CEO of United Spinal Association.
The closing keynote address will be given by John Register, a Paralympian who medaled in the long jump in Sydney, Australia.
Early-bird registration – which includes a $50 tuition price break – runs through Jan. 15. Student rates for the first 100 applicants are also being offered. Click HERE to register or for more information about the symposium.
