The International Seating Symposium (ISS) has opened its call for abstracts for the 2027 conference taking place March 31-April 2 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh. Pre-ISS workshops take place March 30.
In its July 22 announcement, the ISS said the deadline for paper presentations (15 minutes), short course presentations (30 minutes) and instructional course presentations (60 minutes) must be submitted by Sept. 18.
Poster presentations must be submitted by Oct. 9.
Abstract submissions are required to follow guidelines for continuing education units. “Product pitches or presentations that bias particular brands, manufacturers or other entities will not be accepted,” the announcement said.
Exhibitor booth registration is also going on now. The exhibit hall opens the afternoon of March 30 and will be open during event hours on March 31 and through 2:30 p.m. on April 1. The annual consumer day, when Complex Rehab Technology consumers and caregivers are invited to attend the expo, is March 30.
The 2027 in-person conference will be the 40th International Seating Symposium. The event is operated by the University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitation and University of Pittsburgh Rehabilitation Science and Technology Continuing Education.
