The University of Pittsburgh RSTCE has announced a 2024 International Seating Symposium (ISS) Virtual Professional Summit to take place Feb. 7 and March 6, 2024.
In a Sept. 20 news release, the Pittsburgh-based ISS team described the new event — ISS:VPS — as a “fully online speaker series, an opportunity to collect Continuing Education Units (CEUs), and so much more! The VPS will have interactive elements and industry-partner spotlights. Over the event’s two days, expect to learn, meet new colleagues, and experience seating and mobility education in a new, flexible format.”
The event is expected to run from 10 a.m. to roughly 5 p.m. Eastern on both days, “and will feature a different lineup of presentations, intercut with social discussions and virtual product demonstrations,” the ISS team said. Attendees can also participate on demand by viewing recordings of the presentations.
ISS:VPS won’t have a virtual exhibit hall, but is offering sponsorship packages.
Session presenters will be “hand-picked by the ISS team and our Advisory Board to showcase knowledge and expertise on a breadth of interesting topics,” the announcement noted. “Please stay tuned for announcements of speakers, panels, and hosts!”
Registration is not yet open for the ISS:VPS.
The ISS team also announced the dates for the ISS 2025, which will take place March 20-22 in Pittsburgh at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Pre-conference workshops are scheduled for March 18-19.
