Rich Salm
Kalogon has added a seating industry veteran to its team.
Rich Salm has joined Kalogon as its new director of sales, western region, the company announced in Aug. 10 social media posts.
“Kalogon is emerging as one of the real leaders in seating technology, and I wanted to be part of building that,” Salm said in his LinkedIn post. “At Kalogon, I’ll be working with Paul Banz on our U.S. sales. My first effort will be to build on the work Andy Maddux and Zach Kaye have done and expand our sales presence across the west, working closely with our partners, Brewis Group and Southwestern Medical Group. I’ll also be working across Colorado, Utah and Wyoming, where Kalogon is still building a presence.”
Banz, Kalogon’s vice president of sales, welcomed Salm in his own Aug. 10 LinkedIn post, saying, “As we build out our presence and expand our sales organization, it’s fantastic that we can bring someone of Rich’s caliber to do what he does best: help people understand the critical nature of custom seating with a focus on making lives easier for our end customers and the seating clinicians serving them.
“Rich is going to lead our push in the west. He’s already hit the ground running and digging into the deep side of Kalogon’s products — and you’ll be seeing him on the road this week with me at the Numotion Commercial Growth Summit and throughout the fall in the southwest and west.”
Salm’s résumé includes positions at Numotion and National Seating & Mobility. He also founded Peak Wheelchairs and is known for his advocacy work. At Kalogon, Salm will also help develop the company’s educational strategy.
“You also know I’m a big fan of education and ensuring that we’re helping seating specialists visualize their clinical intent,” Salm added. “Excited to work with John Raffii on expanding Kalogon’s educational programming.”
