Ki Mobility Buys Custom Seating Business from Stealth Products

January 22, 2018 by Laurie Watanabe

Ki Mobility has acquired the custom seating portion of Stealth Products, after Stealth announced it planned to discontinue that part of its business.

In a Jan. 17 news announcement, Ki Mobility said both companies were seeking a way to keep Stealth’s custom seating products available to consumers.

Lorenzo Romero, Stealth’s president, said of the agreement, “We felt this acquisition was a great solution for both of our customer bases. Stealth Products looks forward to working with the team at Ki Mobility to make this transition successful.”

The news announcement noted that the two companies have worked together for years, and featured each other’s products on the companies’ respective Web sites.

“The acquisition of custom seating from Stealth Products, along with our Axiom cushion line, allows us to offer our customers a complete seating system on a Ki Mobility base,” said Doug Munsey, president of Ki Mobility. “We are thrilled to work with Lorenzo and the Stealth team to keep this great product line available.”

Stealth will continue to take orders for its custom seating line until April 2. From April 2, 2018, Ki Mobility will take over orders and production. The news announcement added that Ki Mobility would honor quotes provided by Stealth Products before April 2.

Ki Mobility introduced the Axiom cushion line last summer, signifying that the wheeled mobility manufacturer was entering the seating segment.
