Ki Mobility Launches Adult Rigid Rogue2

November 3, 2022 by Laurie Watanabe

Ki Mobility has released Rogue2, a new adult rigid ultralightweight wheelchair.

In an Oct. 24 announcement, Ki said the Rogue2 “features extensive enhancements that make it easy to adjust and the perfect wheelchair for new to the most active riders.”

Ki Mobility introduced the new chair 10 years after the Rogue’s premiere, saying, “Rogue has been on the market since 2012, and it was time for a complete redesign to give our end users a modern look while further simplifying the adjustability for customers.”

The manufacturer said ease of adjustability was the priority in designing Rogue2. “The new backrest hardware can be adjusted using one tool, no disassembly, and with the chair occupied,” the announcement noted. “In addition, riders have the option to easily relax or adjust clothing by simply engaging the 4- or 9-degree relaxed position.”

That “relaxed” positioning, easily and quickly activated by the wheelchair rider, changes the backrest angle to provide a touch of recline.

Other features of note, the announcement said, is a rear seat height adjustment that “requires no disassembly and features an indexed design allowing for perfect alignment every time. Also Rogue2 includes Ki’s patented Dimple Track to maintain precise alignment while adjusting the center of gravity.”

The new wing design of the Rogue2 is meant to enable riders to get closer to objects “for shorter transfers and easier reach.” Corrosion-resistant components protect Rogue2 from the elements that active riders will encounter, while the camber tube clamp design “provides a smooth transition when loading the chair into a vehicle.”

Jeromy Brown, Ki Global Product Manager, said, “Rogue2 was designed to be the perfect balance of performance, functionality, and self expression. We wanted to ensure it fit any lifestyle and provided the rider an optimal experience wherever they go.”
