Black-covered wheelchair seat cushion with air cells with the Sentinel pump top it.Ki Mobility has introduced the Sentinel, a smart air cushion pump that continuously monitors and adjusts the air pressure of air-cell seat cushions to maintain optimal settings.

In a May announcement, Ki Mobility said the Kalogon pump uses smart technology that “knows when the cushion is in use and adjusts for changes in wheelchair tilt angle, altitude and environment automatically.” Via to continuous monitoring, the Sentinel system can automatically detect such issues.

Ki Mobility added that the lightweight, compact and quiet Sentinel system can be paired with Star’s StabilAir and Standard vertical air-cell cushions.

Headquartered in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Ki Mobility designs and manufactures manual wheelchairs, including ultralightweight and tilt-in-space models, and seating technology. Kalogon, based in Melbourne, Florida, specializes in smart seating solutions.
