Ki Mobility to Distribute Leckey in North America

November 8, 2017 by Laurie Watanabe

Ki Mobility will be the exclusive distributor of Leckey products in North America starting Jan. 1.

Leckey is based in the United Kingdom. The manufacturer focuses on seating and positioning, including 24-hour postural support, for children and adults.

Among the products that Ki Mobility will distribute are Leckey’s Squiggles Seat and Squiggles Stander, the PAL classroom seat, the Everyday Activity Seat, and the Advance Bath Chair.

In a news announcement, Ki Mobility President Doug Munsey said, “Our mission is to make our customer’s — the ATP’s — job easier. Not just easier to do business with us, but easier to do their jobs. The products we will be distributing complement our innovative pediatric line and allow us to provide the ATP with even more pediatric choices.”

James Leckey, CEO of Leckey, said in the announcement, “James Leckey Design is delighted to announce we will be partnering with Ki Mobility in North America. We have developed a strong working relationship between our businesses over the past three years representing Ki Mobility products. Both companies share common visions and values with an ambition to create the best products and programs for children and adults with special needs.”

Formerly known primarily for its manual wheelchairs — both self propelled and caregiver propelled — Ki Mobility is ramping up its involvement in the seating and positioning portion of complex rehab. Earlier this year, Ki introduced Axiom, its new wheelchair cushion line.
