August 27, 2023 by Laurie Watanabe

LUCI has a new Regional Director of Clinical Education.

In an Aug. 25 announcement, the smart wheelchair technology manufacturer said Lindsey Sharpe, PT, DPT, ATP, had joined LUCI’s team, and noted her 13 years of experience as a treating clinician and clinical education manager/territory manager for Comfort Company and Permobil.

Tom Borcherding, LUCI’s SVP of Business Development, said in the announcement, “I have had the pleasure of working with Lindsey both at Comfort Company and Permobil, where her track record of success speaks for itself. She is a tireless advocate for the consumers, caregivers, and families that we serve, and a professional and engaging educator. I am thrilled that she has made the decision to join the team here at LUCI, and I know that she will make big and bold contributions to our future success.”

Sharpe, who graduated from the University of North Carolina and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Elon University, said in the announcement, “LUCI has developed a truly life-changing technology that has and will continue to improve the lives of end users, and the wheeled mobility industry as a whole. I am honored to be joining this incredible team of people and am excited to take part in the journey with a company focused on improving independence and quality of life for the wheelchair user by developing and advancing access to cutting-edge technologies.”
