Matt Swiggum Is Ottobock North America’s New CEO

November 4, 2016 by Laurie Watanabe

Industry veteran Matt Swiggum has been named regional president and CEO of Ottobock North America.

In a news announcement, the manufacturer said Swiggum would “lead all prosthetic, orthotic, mobility solutions and business services activities across North America with the goal of bringing world-class, innovative products and services to market and ensuring a customer-centric approach through the highest level of sales and service professionalism, technical and reimbursement support, and clinical education leading to the best possible patient outcomes.”

Ottobock indicated Swiggum will work closely with Regional President/CFO Andreas Schultz.

Swiggum celebrates his 20th anniversary with Ottobock next year. He started with the manufacturer in 1997 as a sales representative covering Ohio.

Over the years, Swiggum advanced to hold such positions as director of sales for technical orthopaedics, business unit director for Mobility Solutions, and VP of Mobility Solutions. Swiggum’s most recent title was executive VP of sales and marketing for North America.

Of his upcoming plans, Swiggum said, “The focus is our mission. How we support our mission will continue to evolve as we work closely with our customers to enhance their experience and improve patient outcomes throughout North America.”
