MED Group Hosts Service Management Seminar

August 1, 2007 by Mobility Management

As competitive bidding, accreditation costs and other funding challenges put the squeeze on DME suppliers’ profits, smart management of all aspects of the business, including the service department, is becoming more and more critical.

In recognition of that challenge, The MED Group held a service management seminar in St. Louis to cover subjects such as basic accounting, financial management and managing service as a process using benchmarks adapted from other industries.

Because the June seminar was held at Grand Prix Speedways, the meeting had an auto racing theme, with participants taking to the track in high-performance go-karts. Sponsors of the event included MK Battery, Permobil, Pride Mobility Products, Sunrise Medical and The Aftermarket Group. United Seating & Mobility’s Sean Jones won the main event, which followed time trials and qualifying races.
