Medline’s free, downloadable and printable posters are designed to help health-care professionals identify and stage pressure injuries in patients of various skin tones.
The posters — Pressure Injury Staging As Easy as Apple P.I.E. (pressure injury explanation) — use illustrations of apples for different pressure injuries, from stage 1 through stage 4, plus unstageable and deep tissue pressure injuries. The apple illustrations are accompanied by illustrations of pressure injuries as they could appear as they affect cross sections of skin and soft tissues.
The set includes a poster for pressure injury staging for dark skin and a poster for light skin.
