Missy Ball Headlines Convaid Webinar Series

April 16, 2015 by Laurie Watanabe

Industry veteran Missy Ball is the featured speaker in a series of four 2015 seating & wheeled mobility Webinars sponsored by Convaid.

The Webinars take place in April, May, August and October, all at 8 a.m. Pacific time.

A Webinar titled “The Use of Equipment to Improve Future Outcomes for Clients” kicks off the series on April 17.

That’s followed by a May 29 Webinar called “Clinical & Technical Use of Tilt & Recline,” an Aug. 7 Webinar called “The Place for Pediatric Push Wheelchairs in Early Intervention,” and an Oct. 16 Webinar called “Appropriate Seating & Mobility Needs for Specific Diagnoses & Clinical Presentation.”

Webinar attendance is free. Convaid is offering .1 CEU credit per Webinar through RESNA for attendees paying a $20 handling fee.

Participants can register at convaid.com.

“Convaid is dedicated to providing up-to-date best practices on pediatric mobility topics to the wider community of health service providers throughout our industry whether or not they are prescribers of Convaid’s products,” Convaid President Chris Braun said in a news announcement about the series. “We are particularly proud to have Missy on board to expand our CEU program with her vast experience, education and targeted knowledge in our highly specialized medical equipment sector.”

Ball is the former acting director and past assistant director of the Children’s Hospital physical therapy department in New Orleans and co-directed that facility’s seating program for 10 years. She is currently in private practice and lectures extensively on seating & wheeled mobility topics for a number of national and international conferences and venues.
