MK Battery Announces 2011 Fund-Raising Event

May 19, 2011 by Laurie Watanabe

Once again, MK Battery wants to raise funds for NCART, NRRTS and the American Association for Homecare. But this time, a Medtrade celebration is involved – and the entire DME industry is invited to participate.

The 2011 version of the Power for Funding program is an industry-wide event taking place the evening of Tuesday, Oct. 25, which is the first day of Medtrade. MK Battery is underwriting the event, and proceeds from event ticket sales and sponsorships will be donated during the evening to NCART, NRRTS and AAHomecare.

Last year, MK Battery (mkbattery.com) donated portions of the proceeds from the sales of certain products to the three organizations. The total donation was nearly $75,000.

“NCART encourages everyone to support the Power for Funding event and help raise additional financial resources to help in our advocacy efforts on a federal and state level,” said Don Clayback, executive director of NCART.

Said Medtrade Show Director Kevin Gaffney, “Medtrade is honored to partner with MK Battery in hosting the Power for Funding reception…. We are delighted to assist and lend our support to this worthy cause that will enhance the lobbying efforts of the home medical equipment and mobility industry.”

Medtrade (medtrade.com) takes place at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Oct. 25-27.
