A Tuesday night reception at the Omni Hotel raised more than $70,000 for three industry organizations during Medtrade.
The Power for Funding event, hosted by MK Battery and Medtrade, raised funds to support the ongoing efforts of NCART, NRRTS and AAHomecare. Funds were generated by Medtrade (medtrade.com) exhibitors who purchased sponsorships, as well as by attendees who purchased tickets to attend. MK Battery (mkbattery.com) underwrote the event, and MK corporate officers also attended.
Wayne Merdinger, MK’s VP of business development and international sales, hoped this year’s inaugural event would evolve and inspire future fundraising efforts. “As an inaugural event, Power for Funding 2011 was a huge success and will hopefully serve as a catalyst for a new tradition of solidarity at Medtrade,” he said. “We look forward to building upon the experience to drive even more support for critical industry initiatives in the years to come.”
